How it works
Three steps to a calmer family inbox: start the chat, forward your first invite, and sync your calendar. The Gift Nest is a separate feature you can use anytime.
Tap Start on WhatsApp below — it opens a chat with Toucan with JOIN pre-filled.
Send the message. Toucan replies and asks for your name (e.g. Mum, Dad, Sarah).
Quickly accept the Terms of Service to continue.
You're in. Next, send your first invite so Toucan can show you how it works.

Pick any invite — a school flyer photo, a class WhatsApp message, a birthday party text, or a screenshot.
Forward it to Toucan in WhatsApp.
Toucan reads the details and shows you what it found. Tap Approve to add it to your calendar.
That's it. Every approved event lands in your Toucan calendar feed, ready to sync next.
Don't have an invite handy? Just type the event in plain words, e.g. "School play Friday 20th June at 2pm", and Toucan will create it.
Once you've approved an event, you need to subscribe to your Toucan calendar on your phone.
Open your subscribe link from Toucan (sent automatically after your first invite, or type MENU to get a new one).
Press the Add to Calendar button.
Follow your devices instruction to subscribe.
There's no separate "set up your family" step. As you forward more invites, Toucan asks for a child's name the first time they come up, and offers to invite your partner's phone the first time an event is for both of you.
You can also manage them anytime in WhatsApp: type Menu, then choose Add New Kid or Manage Senders (up to 5 phones, no separate account needed).
The Gift Nest is its own thing — not part of onboarding. Once you're set up, you can start it whenever you like.
Send JOIN GIFTS to Toucan on WhatsApp (or type gifts if you're already set up). Nothing is set up in advance: you start a list when you add your first gift.
Forward a product link, type an idea, or snap a photo of a toy. Toucan extracts the details, then asks which list it goes on, or starts a new one such as Louis's birthday.
Tap the share link for that list. Send it to grandparents, godparents, or partners by WhatsApp, text or email.
Relatives can reserve gifts privately — no app or account needed — so duplicates are avoided and surprises stay safe.
Open your Toucan WhatsApp chat and type Menu → select Phone Calendar Sync. Tap the link Toucan sends you, then scroll to the bottom for the manual URL.
Most calendar apps refresh subscribed calendars every few hours automatically. You can also manually refresh in your calendar settings.
Yes. Invite them via Menu → Manage Senders in the WhatsApp chat (up to 5 phones, no separate account). They'll share the same calendar feed and Gift Nest.
